A former UFC and Bellator Lightweight Champion and one of the most legendary fighters of MMA history, Eddie Alvarez, took to his official Twitter account today and breaks his silence about the fighters who want to be paid more like Jon Jones, Nate Diaz, etc.

You will check out the tweets of Eddie right below that Eddie indicated that he defended the fighters’ rights about that issue man times but no one listened to him earlier.

Here is what Eddie Alvarez wrote:

“No1 listened to me when I left and explain that fighters need Better pay. Now the largest names in the sport are speaking out, I love this sport and the promotions that provide our stages. But understand that it is Just a Stage! without the men n women willing to fight on it.

Fighters have the ability to fill an arena and home audience. We also have the ability to leave a stage empty with nothing… I wish more fighters understood how valuable they are, and glad that some are recognizing their worth.”

Cris Cyborg took to her account and wrote this to Eddie:

I left for better pay and more respect.”

Eddie responded back to show his tribute to Cyborg:

“You are a legend and earned everything you got.πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌWe all are!”
